Rangers shift their focus on Game 2
It was a great start to their playoff series against the Washington Capitals with the Rangers winning 4-1. With the team moving on and focusing on Game 2, players including Rangers newcomer Alex Wennberg weighed in on what the team needs to do to continue their dominant play.
One aspect of their game they needed to improve was scoring 5 on 5 as this was an issue throughout much of the season. They manged to put several goals in and this is encouraging to see.
The team also did great things on the defensive end as they held Capitals superstar captain Alex Ovechkin to no shots. This will be their goal again to hold him at bay which will snuff out much of the Capitals offense.
With all that said, the Rangers will continue to be patient and not become complacent while not taking the Capitals lightly as they have worked very hard to get where they are.
Game 2 will be on Tuesday April 23rd and game time will be at 7:00pm eastern at MSG.
