It's been an incredible season for Rangers superstar Artemi Panarin as he is just three points shy of breaking through his first 100-point campaign.
His line has been dominant for most of the year as he continues to show how skilled and how important he is to this Rangers offence.
With all the accolades of this season thus far, it certainly begs the case that Panarin is a top contender for the heart trophy this year.
This was explained by Mollie Walker of the New York Post at Panarin has shown that he deserves this award.
This is his fifth season as a New York Ranger and every season he has steadily improved in either goals 4 or overall points and has been a consistent plus player well racking up between 20 and 40 penalty minutes per season.
Over the course of this season, he has played 70 games, scored 41 goals with 56 assists for 97 points and is a + 14.
Head coach Peter Laviolette has been an advocate for him as he continues to find ways to get him out on the ice as he explained in his interview.
«Just trying to get him out there, More and more because you can tell he's creating every time he's on the ice. He's in the offensive zone.
Sometimes, the more he plays, the better he gets. And so you just got to try to find him a little bit of ice time.
Big game like this and he really stepped up.»
He drives his line and he also makes his linemates better which is evident with the recent ascension of Alexis Lafreniere and his improved play.
His teammates enjoy having him in the room and he is one of the main cogs of this Rangers offence.
There's no ceiling on how high his point total will go this year and he will get another crack at breaking the 100 PT barrier as the Rangers will take to the ice on Saturday March 23rd at 8:00 PM against the Florida Panthers.
