It's been an up and down season for Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin as the former Vezina trophy winner continues to battle through his game trying to find consistency and wins.
As he and Vincent Trocheck enjoy the All-Star weekend in Toronto, his character was on full display as he showed full respect towards a reporter who spoke Spanish while speaking in a presser.
It was great to see that he acknowledged him in the reporters language and then gave the Spanish community a great recomendation to see the game of hockey being played across the Atlantic and one day in Barcelona.
The NHL has been expanding their vision and their reach into the world as they wish to promote their brand to other countries including Spain along with the rest of Europe and other nations.
The NHL is looking to bring back NHL players to the Olympics which will also continue to promote their brand as it's a strong possibility they will be back in 2026.
As the festivities have ramped up today, Igor Shesterkin was chosen by Auston Matthews and celebrity captain Justin Bieber in the NHL All Star draft.
His team includes Mitch Marner, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly, Filip Forsberg, Clayton Keller, Mathew Barzal, Trocheck, Alex Debrincat, and Jake Oettinger.
