Siblings Ryan and Charlie Lindgren prepare to do battle
The NHL playoffs always have spicy storylines that keeps fans entertained and columnist writing many articles. One such storyline is is siblings Ryan and Charlie Lindgren who will face off against one another in the New York Rangers - Washington Capitals series.
It's not uncommon for siblings to have these kinds of rivalries as many families had several sons who have played the game of hockey together. The Lindgren brothers join a long list of 42 previous series with four of them being Rangers series where siblings faced off against one another.
Ryan Lindgren, who is in his sixth season with the Rangers had a solid season playing 76 games, scoring three goals 14 assists for 17 points and as a + 22 with 36 penalty minutes. Being in the top 4 defensive pairing, it's expected that he will be leaned on hard throughout these playoffs as the Rangers prepared to battle against the capitals and Alexander Ovechkin.
The Capitals, who are riding high for their entry into the playoffs will be leaning on Charlie Lindgren demand their net as he is one of the main reasons why the Capitals are in the playoffs.
The 30-year-old goaltender who is in his second season with the capitals played fifty games and had a record of 25-16-7 with 2.67 goals against and a save percentage of .911 with six shutouts.
It's safe to say the Rangers will not take them lightly even though the odds are in the Rangers favor. Playoff hockey is a very different season.
