The Rangers clinched the league's best record entering the playoffs. leaving no doubt about their status as the top team up to this point.

Plenty of this has to do with the change of coaching, with Peter Laviolette implementing a new dynamic system and a team with a bit of an edge.

Prior to this season, the Rangers were viewed more as a finesse team that lacked toughness and physicality.

Well Matt Rempe enter the fold and brought this team to another level.

Host of the DailyFaceoff Jonny Lazarus, gives his take on Matt Rempe, and his influence to the team:

"When 73 is on the ice for the Rangers, it's like nothing I've ever seen before."

Rempe was asked the other day if he feels ready for the playoffs:

"Definitely, I feel good in my game. I feel I can bring an element. I know it's going to be a challenge, but I know that I'm definitely ready. I can bring a lot to help the team."

He may not have the skills like a Panarin, or Fox, or Kreider, but he does bring in his own physical brand of hockey that this team has sorely lacked for years.

The fans also still to this day go ballistic whenever he hits the ice, chanting his name often. Let's hope he plays a major factor come playoff time.
