There's been a significant development for the New York Rangers lineup ahead of their game tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights. Today, Chris Kreider and Filip Chytil were seen at the morning skate.

Tonight the Vegas Golden Knights will take on the New York Rangers and there is some great news for fans.

Forwards Chris Kreider, and Filip Chytil were seen at the morning skate as reported by NHL Insider Mollie Walker.

Kreider, and Chytil has been out on injured reserve, as Kreider has dealt with a back injury. Chytil has been out with an undisclosed upper-body injury in the meantime.

This is significant news for the Rangers, as Kreider has missed three games in his absence, which could be a sign of a return.

The 25-year-old forward was seen on the ice before the team's optional skate on Thursday, which Peter Laviolette views as a positive sign.

«It's great he is out on the ice today,» Laviolette said. «Right now it's just upper-body, but for me that's progression. Out on the ice, so that's a good thing.»

Unlike Kreider, Chytil has neither been placed on IR, or LTIR and we could possibly seen a return to the ice sooner than expected.

But for now, nothing more is confirmed.

This season Filip Chytil has played 33 games for the Rangers and scored 17 points( 7 G, 1 0A ) and was a part of one of the best lines this season: the third, until Kaapo Kakko was shipped to Seattle.

Chris Kreider experienced a downturn in play this season, scoring only 15 points( 13 G, 2 A) which his nagging back-injury could explain some of his poor performance this year.
