Former New York Rangers prospect Victor Mancini has found a new home in the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks. It appears that a stint in the AHL won't last for long, as GM Patrik Allvin has recalled him.

The New York Rangers made a huge trade for JT Miller, which involved multiple pieces going back both ways.
The Canucks received Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and a protected first-round pick.
Mancini was sent straight to the AHL as a result of the trade and had played 23 games in Hartford this season.
Now, he'll have a shot in the NHL as GM Patrik Allvin has recalled him to Vancouver, as top defenseman Quinn Hughes has been listed as day-to-day.
Mancini made his NHL debut this season, playing 15 games with the Rangers after being pushed out of the line by Zac Jones.
He'd score 5 points (1G, 4 A) with a -3 rating.
Mancini scored his first NHL goal this season against his hometown, Detroit Red Wings.
Peter Laviolette was happy with Mancini's play earlier this season but was unable to stay in the Rangers lineup past November.
Could Mancini find a shot at a full-time role in the Canucks lineup? Maybe, if he can make the same kind of effort the Rangers saw in October and November.
«He did a real good job here. We're really happy with him,» Laviolette said on Thursday.

Mancini is still in the first year of his contract which he signed with GM Chris Drury in 2024-2025.
The deal pays him $870K, and at it's expiration he'll be an RFA, which GM Patrik Allvin will have to tender him a qualifying offer to retain his rights.
Could Mancini steal a spot in the Canucks lineup?
