Significant development has surfaced regarding New York Rangers defenseman being named as a potential replacement for the upcoming Four-Nations Tournament following an unfortunate injury update.
Last week unfortunate injury reports have surfaced regarding Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen after taking a nasty hit to his knee from Mark Stone of the Vegas Golden Knights.
It was later confirmed that Heiskanen will be out week-to-week with a lower body injury, and has been ruled out for the 4-Nations tournament, team Finland.

Following this development, the New York Rangers have announced defenseman Urho Vaakanainen has officially been named for the as the replacement for team Finland.

Now the New York Rangers will have representatives on three out of the four nations. Team USA will see four Rangers, J.T Miller, Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, and Adam Fox, then Sweden with Mika Zibanejad and finally Finland with Urho Vaakanainen.

Since joining the Rangers, Vaakanainen has played in 21 games and has managed to tally five assists and no goals thus far, along with having a plus/minus rating of +2 while averaging just over 15 minutes of ice time.
