The New York Rangers landed J.T. Miller in one of many blockbuster trades that have yet to happen during the trade deadline. Canucks Captain Quinn Hughes shared his feelings with the media about the deal which sent Miller back to New York.

The New York Rangers made a huge move by finalizing a trade for J.T. Miller with the Vancouver Canucks.
While the trade saw the Canucks get slightly younger, with a decent return in assets with Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and a protected first-round pick, has the locker room healed?
Captain Quinn Hughes of the Canucks was asked about the trade after it went down. His response wasn't one of lamentation or disappointment, but a statement of purpose.
This came after the Canucks lost 5-3 to the Dallas Stars, with newly acquired center Mikael Granlund.
"Yeah, I mean, obviously a lot of noise last couple weeks and months. But, you know, seeing him go, he's a heck of a hockey player, and enjoyed playing them for the six years that I had.

And you know, I obviously wish him the best, and personally, I'm gonna see him in six, seven days. So, but right now, it doesn't even really seem real, but next couple weeks, I'm sure it will sink in a little bit."

Hughes was asked about the makeup of the locker room after they had removed one of the elements in the ongoing feud in the room, between Miller and Pettersson.
"I think not only myself, but you know, everyone in the organization, I think it's just been a lot of noise, and you know you know from Mizzy to it's been a lot of him. And I think he's looking forward to, you know, a fresh start. But we're obviously you know gonna miss him here.
The Canucks were once thought to be Stanley Cup contenders, but with Miller gone, and Thatcher Demko underperforming, it could take a turn for the worst.
Will the Canucks make it to the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs?
