He has reported that the Rangers are not pursuing Kane.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning are believed among the interested parties who will meet with Kane over the next week.
Here is his full report here.
What's interesting in the report, is apparently the Rangers have never been in the mix for Kane.
He turns 35 this Sunday, and he is a huge risk after having hip resurfacing surgery. Look at Nicklas Bäckström from the Washington Capitals.
He needed to step away from the game for an indefinite amount of time because his hip wasn't responding well after a few games this season.
He too, partook, in the same procedure as Kane did.
I believe the risk does not outweigh the reward.
The Rangers are playing fantastically with the team currently constructed.
There would be no good reason to disrupt the chemistry the team is currently building, especially with the mounting injuries that has mounted the team as of late.
I wish Patrick Kane well wishes on the future team he joins, and all the success in the world, as long as it's not in the Rangers expense that is.
