It was expected as the Rangers' would try to adapt to head coach, Peter Laviolette, and his newly inputted system, after the departure of Gerard Gallant, last season.
However, even with these growing pains, two lines have found themselves in the top five in the league for expected goals percentage.
The lines in question? Cuylle-Trocheck-Wheeler, and Kreider-Zibanejad-Kakko, namely the 3rd and 1st lines respectively.
It's rather impressive these are the two lines analytically are doing fantastic, but the line that has really carried the offensive firepower of the team, is the second line with Panarin-Chytil-Lafrenière.
Artemi Panarin currently leads the Rangers with seven points, and Filip Chytil is playing just shy of a point per game.
Alexis Lafreniere has collected the fewest points of this line with only two, but he's still looked solid in every other aspect of the game.
This is arguably the best line on the team thus far.
Laviolette thankfully will stick with these lines, they have produced, and will continue to get better as the season progresses.
The Rangers' are in the second of a five game road stretch. Next game will be tomorrow, October 24, against the Calgary Flames, at Scotiabank Saddledome, in Calgary.
The magic number to the 3,000th victory for the franchise is 15, the team currently has 2,985 victories.
