Robertson agreed to the Rangers to a one-year, two-way deal with the team. The 2019 NHL Draft pick, had call-ups last season, but was unable to crack the lineup, despite all the injuries the Blueshirts had. Robertson's development is to continue, as the Edmonton, Alberta product has been defined as a smart, puck-moving defenseman.
Karl Henriksson departed for Sweden in June this off-season as he signed with the SHL. All the while the team did tender a qualifying offer, likely to retain the player's rights should he try to make an attempt to come back in the NHL in the future.
Only a week ago, did Ryan Lindgren and the New York Rangers file for arbitration, meaning this contract negotiation will be settled by a third party soon, or if Lindgren and the team find a contract value they both like beforehand, he could sign before the arbitration date.
Lindgren while still not signed, will have first right or refusal, and if a team does offer sheet the tough defenseman, would receive draft picks in compensation. That however doesn't seem likely, given his injury history.
