The New York Rangers have been on a continuous downfall, and on Monday right before the holiday break they have officially hit the bottom of the Metropolitan Division, as they tied with the Islanders for last place.
Throughout the entire game the Devils embarrassed the Rangers as they dominated them in every aspect, ultimately leading to their 5-0 victory. Along with that embarrassed the Rangers for trading Kaapo Kakko.
Following the embarrassing game, Vincent Trocheck gave his honest opinion on how the Rangers have been playing recently, getting straight to the point he stated the following:
The Rangers were also outshot during the game 29-12, as veteran forward Chris Kreider was a healthy scratch. Clearly indicating he wasn't the issue.
There is still enough time for the New York Rangers to turn things around, so hopefully after a nice holiday break they can clear their heads and come back stronger before Chris Drury is forced to make another drastic move.
The Rangers next game will be on December 28th against the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:00PM. The same day the NHL roster freeze is lifted so stand by just incase there is any changes to the Rangers roster.
Do you think Vincent Trocheck is becoming the leader the Rangers need, and should be named the next captain? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to the NY Rangers Insider for the latest updates and news on the New York Rangers.
