We Have A Blake Wheeler Sighting During Practice Today!
The Rangers held practice in preparation for Game 2 tomorrow, and we have a Blake Wheeler sighting. He was on the ice in a red non contact jersey.
This is his first full practice with the team since sustaining a terrible lower-body injury Feb. 15, in the 7-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Wheeler was ruled out for the rest of the regular season but had been skating on his own before Monday.
Even if Wheeler is cleared while the Rangers are still alive in the playoffs, it's no sure thing that he'd step right back into the lineup. But it is great to have him back, and have another depth piece just in case!
As for the rest of the lineup, nothing has changed. More than likely head coach Peter Laviolette will be bringing out the same lineup.
The Rangers are looking to go up 2-0 against the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow at Madison Square Garden
