Zac Jones stuns fans with latest statement towards the New York Rangers organization
New York Rangers defenseman issues a shocking statement towards the organization as his frustration continues to grow deeper due to lack of ice time he's getting in the NHL.
Recently New York Rangers defenseman Zac Jones made it public that he was unhappy with the Rangers organization due to always being a healthy scratch, which has now sparked some trade speculation.
Along with that, NHL Insider Frank Seravalli reported that the 24-year old defenseman has been granted permission to speak with other teams and seek a trade.
«Jones has sat for six straight games as a healthy scratch and the Rangers have given him permission to speak with other teams to seek a trade. His frustration was apparent in his comments last week, a well-liked competitor who is looking for opportunity.»

Following this report, Jones made his commitment to the New York Rangers very clear while issuing a statement to TheAthletic.
«I'm still committed to this team. I said what I said last week and I don't regret anything I said. I'm still a Ranger and I want to help this team win any way I can.»
Zac Jones has not played a game for the New York Rangers since before the holiday break, back on December 23 against the New Jersey Devils as he has been benched for over the past eight games.
«I know I could be traded tomorrow or I could be in the lineup tomorrow. You have no idea what's going to happen,» Jones said. «Just having that mindset of being prepared to play no matter the circumstances, that's where I'm at right now.»
Definitely a tough situation for the youngster to be in. However, his future still remains unknown but with his hard work and style of play, he's likely to continue his career in the NHL.
