Late February and early March are the most rumour filled times in any NHL season good teams are currently evaluating their talent and looking for options from others to help them improve their roster to make the stretch run and prepare for the playoffs.
Some rumors can be outrageous including the one that was posted today by former NHLer Ryan Whitney.
He suggested in a tweet that the Ottawa Senators may be preparing to move away from Brady Tkachuk.
Well, it seems unthinkable that the Senators would consider this move as he has been brought in from the past administration as the leader of the pack and one of the highest paid players on the team holding a cap hit of $8.205 million per year through 2027-2028.
Over the past 55 games, he has scored 25 goals with 22 assists for 47 points and is a - 6.
Why would the Senators even consider this does not make sense to me, however, with new ownership under Michael Andlauer along with Steve Staios as their new general manager, it's certainly possible that anything is on the table especially if a team offered something that would blow the doors off the Canadian Tire Centre.
