General manager Chris Drury has been scouring the league for help for a new centre and a winger as secondary scoring and depth down the middle have become front and centre for the team.

Like all trade deadlines, the asking prices for these kinds of players have gone through the roof and it appears that Chris Drury has not been interested in paying the prices that have been asked.
Yesterday, during the Rangers and Flyers intermission, it was noted by NHL on ESPN that there's indications that jury is willing to move his first-round pick this draft however he has to maximize the return.
What is clear, is that two of the Rangers top prospects are completely off limits to any team as many have asked if they are available for trade.
Boston College forward Gabe Perreault and Hartford Wolf Pack left winger Brennan Othmann are key members of a future New York Rangers team who will be part of their offence.
Perreault, has been leading the NCAA on numerous levels and has 49 points in 30 games.
Brennan Othmann, is in his first season with the Wolf pack and has played 45 games, scored fourteen goals with 22 assists for 36 points and has 46 penalty minutes.
Its important that the Rangers keep both players as they will help them navigate through the salary cap when other players will become either too expensive or need to be moved along.
The trade deadline will be on March 8th at 3:00 PM eastern.
