This season for Rangers starting goalie Igor Shesterkin has been a wild ride to say the least.

It has certainly been one of his most inconsistent campaigns as the former Vezina trophy winner has been working hard to try to find his game and get back to the levels he's used to.

Recently, the Rangers along with Shesterkin have been in a groove and have won nine games in a row.

This incredible run has given him time to re establish his game and be the dominant force he should be.

Recently former NHL superstar and legend Marty Brodeur gave his top five active goalies in the league and Shesterkin was #2 behind Andrei Vasilevskiy.

That's high praise from the former New Jersey Devil.

It's safe to say that many in the NHL especially in the fan base may take exception to what his choices are as there are several candidates to fit the top five.

In 2023-2024, Igor Shesterkin has played 37 games, and has a record of 24-12-1 with 2.74 goals against average and a save percentage of .907 with one shutout.

But it's safe to say, that regardless of his struggles this year Igor Shesterkin is not being left out and forgotten as a top goaltender in the league.
