Capitals Center Will Be Taking A Leave Of Absence
The Washington Capitals announce that Nicklas Backstrom is stepping away from the game for an unspecified period of time while dealing with the effects of last year's hip surgery.

"I ask for privacy at this time as I determine my next steps and viable options moving forward."
We wish him a speedy recovery during his time away.
