Over the past 24 hours, Bruins forward Milan Lucic has been running an emotional rollercoaster as his domestic abuse case was dismissed by the prosecution this morning.
Many rumors began to fly around the web on the future of Milan Lucic and whether he would return to the Boston Bruins as soon as possible.
After the announcement, the Bruins made a statement on what the future holds for Milan Lucic and the team.
This is unfortunate for him, as he was hoping to finish his career in Boston on a high note and take another run at a Stanley Cup.
Milan Lucic Has not played hockey since October 21st whenever he was arrested and it's likely He would need to be reinstated by the NHL.
As much as the Bruins would like to see him on the ice, the team will receive and long-term injury reserve rebate of $1 million which could help solidify another player at the deadline.
His play has declined rapidly over the past couple of years and it's hard to say if he could rebuild his abilities as soon as possible.
Now the question remains, will this be the final stop for Milan Lucic in his NHL career, or will he sign with another team or re signed with the Bruins next season?
