It's always an interesting sight to see the old generation of hockey players playing against the newer generation as the kids are trying to establish themselves in the league and becoming the new faces.
Connor Bedard, the new face of the Blackhawks certainly did this against Red Wings forward Patrick Kane during the game as he hit him with a solid body check.
Bedard has returned to the game after suffering from a broken jaw that he sustained several weeks ago.
The 18 year old certainly has fire in his belly as he's willing to throw his weight around even though his jaw is still healing.
In his rookie year, he has played 45 games has scored seventeen goals with 23 assists for 40 points and is a dismal -26.
He is certainly the front runner to win the Calder rookie trophy even being out for almost 8 weeks, however, many players in the league have keyed in on him and are not making it easy in his inaugural season.
