It appears that something is brewing in Raleigh NC where Carolina Hurricanes head coach rod BrindAmour's future appears to be in doubt. After dispensing the New York Islanders in five games yesterday reports surfaced that his new offer was recently pulled by hurricanes management which has left him without answers.

The 53-year-old began his coaching career with the Hurricanes in 2018 and have made the playoffs every season since his hiring. He has taken his team past the first round four out of five times enter the conference final twice. In his regular season record he has gone 370 games with a record of 226-107-37 with multiple 110+ point seasons.
Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell and hurricanes owner Tom dundon have weighed in on what the contract talks have looked like and it appears that everything is on track to being a done deal.
«We talk daily about it, and I feel very confident, as I've said before, that this deal will get done,» Waddell said. «Rod wants to be a Hurricane for life. To me, when you're dealing with contracts, there's always two sides. Rod's been great to deal with. There's gonna be a solution here very quickly, I feel.»

«Don and him are working on it. I don't think there's anything there,» Dundon told the paper over the phone. «We're in the playoffs and they haven't focused on it. They're doing it together. I said OK to almost everything they've asked me for. They're just getting through the last little stuff.»

With the Islanders behind them, the Carolina Hurricanes are preparing to take on the presidents trophy winning New York Rangers which will be a great series. Contract talks certainly are an obstacle and a distraction that Brind'Amour does not need. As the media has pressed for answers, Brind'Amour told them in a text
«It's in Tom's hands.»
No matter the outcome, Brind'Amour is a tough customer and he will take his team into the second round and face the Rangers.
