Ryan Whitney states Colorado Avalanche is the team to beat
Spittin Chiclets host Ryan Whitney made a bold statement after the Colorado Avalanche knocked out the Winnipeg Jets in five games last evening. He said that the avalanche are a well oiled machine and they are that team that could take the entire conference and the Stanley Cup this year.
After a wild 7-6 game and Avalanche starting goaltender Alexandar Georgiev appearing shaky as he had been for the past two weeks during the season seem to have settled down to which the team led by Nathan MacKinnon rolled the Jets in the next four games. He also mentioned how Cale Makar lead the defence with the Jets having no answers.
The team appears to be dialed in and making quick work of the Jets came to the surprise of many considering they were facing one of the best goaltenders in the league in Connor Hellebucyk. But let's not forget this team is only two years removed from winning the Stanley Cup with a similar lineup.
The team now gets a break as they await the winners of the stars versus golden Knights series which will produce another fantastic series in the Western Conference as every one of these teams are built to take home the Cup.
