Sheldon Keefe makes bizarre statement during post game series loss

All of Leafs Nation was in mourning last night as the Toronto Maple Leafs lost to the Boston Bruins in Game 7 in overtime 2-1. After the game was done, head coach Sheldon Keefe spoke to the media and gave his breakdown of the game in the series. At one point, he made a very bizarre statement regarding how other teams prepare to have the Leafs beat up themselves.
"When teams play the Leafs, they set up the game for the Leafs to beat themselves."
It's quite the telling statement which is coming from the person who is suppose to prepare for those ideas and counteract it.
After the statement was made, many leaf fans took to the web expressing anger and disbelief to what the coach was referring to. Many feel that Sheldon Keefe will no longer be the coach after this season is over. Many fans think that he is not the man that could take the team to the next level as he has been with the leaves for six seasons.
Throughout his time, he has produced great results in the regular season with several 100-point years and at times dominant play. But what's becoming common is a collapse or failing in the playoffs which has led to fans pointing fingers and wanting major changes to the lineup through the management staff.
Leafs Nation will continue to list and unpack this season while trying to find anything positive which there are some instances. But it's becoming quite clear that the team will need to make a major change to their core four group as it has not worked in nine years.
