Ex-Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh makes return to former team
Veteran defenseman Ryan McDonagh makes a return to his former team, the Tampa Bay Lightning after being traded less than two years ago to the Nashville Predators.
The Tampa Bay Lightning sent a 2nd round and 7th round pick to the Predators to reacquire McDonagh and a 4th round pick.

The 34 year old defenseman played 74 games with the Preds this past season, scoring three goals and 32 points. He has two years left on a contract that pays him $6.75 million per season for the next two seasons.
During this past season the 34-year old defenseman played throughout 74 games, only tallying 3 goals and 32 points. However during his 14 seasons in the NHL between the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay and Nashville. He has played 928 games, recording 76 goals and 389.
