President Trophy Winner Rangers Disrespected With Playoff Odds
The New York Rangers have won the Stanley Cup four times and have qualified to be in the Stanley Cup playoffs 62 times. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that they find themselves in the playoffs again in 2024. The last win versus the Washington Capitals has put the New York Rangers into the second round of the playoffs.
During this game, the New York Rangers played with focused energy, proving they were hungry to stay in the competition and it worked in their favor. Since this win, the New York Rangers have had a great deal of time off. Now fans are starting to speculate if this time off will hinder the New York Rangers' performance in future games against their opponents. Are the New York Rangers ready to face a more challenging team such as the Dallas Stars?
The odds are seemingly stacked in their favor as their rank comes in at number five with +700 as of April 30, 2024. The pendulum can swing either way right now but contrary to popular belief, I think the time off may in fact, work in their favor as this gives them just enough time to recharge and refocus so they can come back to the playoffs ready to take on any opponent. The New York Rangers are beginning to create their own path, a new path that just might lead them to victory.
The Rangers play against the Carolina Hurricanes next as we await the unveiling of the second round schedule.
