Game-changing news strikes rangers-panthers game 6
With the recent loss of Game 5, the New York Rangers will have to make adjustments. Injuries come and go, and it looks like it may have struck one Rangers play.
According to Vince Mercogliano, the Rangers will have to adjust the lineup, as Anton Blidh was a part of the recent recall from AHL Hartford.
Blake Wheeler is a little banged up, per source, which is why he's not skating this morning. Blidh replaces him with the NHL group, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's playing. Still plenty of options. #NYR
He may get a shot to play tonight against the Florida Panthers in Game 6, as Blake Wheeler wasn't seen skating this morning as he is banged up.
With the recent addition of several forwards as Black Aces from the AHL, Blidh may have the chance to get a look during the playoffs.
However, there are still plenty of other AHL options to choose from.
It could very be that Brennan Othmann, or Brett Berard gets a look tonight, but depends upon Peter Laviolette's judgment.
Blidh played 64 games for the Hartford Wolfpack this season, posting 17 points(7 G, 10 A), and could be a depth option if needed.
