He Has Been Playing Great While The Rangers Deal With Injuries
Jonny Brodzinski has been playing very well since being moved up to the top-six after the first period in the game against the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
He has four assists in the last two games.
That already surpassed the season total of Kaapo Kakko, who has three points in 20 games.
Here is Brodzinski on his confidence level:
"I think this is the first time in my career really that the coaches are trusting me right away and putting me in a position to succeed. I think that's the most beneficial thing that I've had so far."
He is not wrong. Here is Peter Laviolette, speaking on his trust in Brodzinski:
"I think trying to put people in positions where they can be successful, that would be a spot for him to come up and show what he can do. On the power play, that's the type of a situation, that type of a line. Then it's up to him. It's up to people to make the most of the opportunities."
It's great to see they have found a spot for Brodzinski to soar, and it so happens to be in the top-six line.
We don't know of the status of Filip Chytil or Kakko, or how long they will be out, but if he continues to play this way, it'll be real difficult to assign him back to the Wolf Pack.
