Hurricanes fight for another day after Game Four win
The New York Rangers had an opportunity to put this series away in game 4 but unfortunately the Hurricanes stuck around and managed to pull off a 4-3 victory sending the series back to New York and allowing the team to fight for another day.
During the press conference after the game, Carolina head coach Rob BrindAmour felt that the Rangers played a great game overall and pushed the Hurricanes to the brink to which they bent but not broken.
"I thought they answered the bell and had a good game."
Even though they did not get the result they hoped for, the rangers still felt that their game is solid which was echoed by Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette as he spoke about the Rangers penalty kill after the Hurricanes broke the streak and managed to score with the man advantage.
The Rangers special teams have been their strength throughout these playoffs and continue to kill off most penalties throughout the game. The loan power play goal that Carolina has achieved was from Brady Skjei who scored at 16:49 in the third.
What would be Carolina's game plan for Game 5
The Hurricanes will now face a must win situation from now all the way to the end of the series and head coach Rob BrindAmour has much to decide including who will be in net as Frederik Andersen has let in a few shaky goals in every game that he has played.
The Rangers on the other hand just need to continue to do what they're doing closeout the series at home well giving the Hurricanes A gentleman's sweep.
