As the holiday roster freeze is quickly approaching, there is several big names that could be traded before then, especially this one Rangers veteran who is gaining a lot of interest.
The New York Rangers are having a hectic season thus far, mainly due to the fact that General Manager Chris Drury listed his veterans Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba as trade candidates.
As the Rangers continue to spiral out of control, fans and many alike are curious to see what comes next, and NHL Insider Chris Johnston has revealed a list of the top five players that could be traded and with no surprise it's Chris Kreider is at the top.
The pressure continues to mount for the New York Rangers as they were last years Presidents Trophy winners, as Drury as also revealed that no option is off the table and he is ready to make some drastic changes.
Now this isn't only a New York Rangers issue, as many other underperforming teams are desperately trying to the same and make some kind of change that will turn their season around.
Along with the Rangers, there are several other teams who are off to terribly slow and disappointing starts to the year, such as the Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and New York Islanders.
So if the Rangers want to make some changes, they will have to do it soon as the NHL roster freeze will start on Thursday, December 19th at 11:59 PM and will go until 12:01 AM, on December 28th.
