Laviolette Addresses Excitement For The Return Of Chytil To The Team
To the surprise of everyone, Filip Chytil who hasn't played since Nov. 2 due to a suspected concussion and later complications, was skating with the team as a full participant after being medically cleared earlier than anticipated.
He's been skating on his own since he was shut down, and wanted to rejoin the team.
He's medically cleared to do so, which is incredible.
Head coach Peter Laviolette says there is no timetable on Chytil's return, but he "looks great" on the ice. Listen here:
"He looks good out there. There's no timetable on Fil. We're not going to rush him back. Whenever he feels and the eyes on him feel and the powers that be feel that he's in a good spot, that's a different story."
The Rangers have two more regular season games before the playoffs begin, and are prioritizing his health over a return this season.
Just seeing him on the ice during practice with the team alone is something to be excited for!
