The Rangers won 4-3 last night in overtime over the Chicago Blackhawks, marking their fourth straight win.

The first time since November that the Rangers are able to string together four straight wins (11/7 11/18). But the circumstances of the win weren't ideal.

The Blackhawks, arguably the worst team in the league, were without their rookie sensation in Connor Bedard, and the Rangers nearly blew a 3-1 lead with less than seven minutes left for the Blackhawks to force overtime.

Thankfully the Rangers escaped with a win due to Mika Zibanejad late game heroics.

Head coach Peter Laviolette addressed the media on the OT win last night:

"I wouldn't imagine anyone is really happy with the way we played the game. I'm pretty honest. If I think we played alright and we lost, I'll let you know that. It was not one of our better efforts"

It was ugly, but the Rangers did escape with two points, two points that separate them further away from the Carolina Hurricanes for the Metropolitan Division lead.
