The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced a significant roster move ahead of tonight's game against the New York Rangers and their head coach has just reveled the reasoning behind the move.
Tonight the New York Rangers are set to face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:00PM on home ice at Madison Square Garden. However, ahead of tonight's game the Maple Leafs have made a surprising roster move and head coach Graig Bérubé has just revealed why.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have moved enforcer Ryan Reaves into their lineup for the first time in 24 days, and when Bérubé was asked why he quickly revealed it was because of Matt Rempe's physical presence on the ice and how effective that can be.
Craig Berube on why he's inserting Ryan Reaves into the lineup: «I think Rempe over there. He's an effective player in my opinion.»
He added he's hoping Reaves can deter some of Rempe's physicality.
