The New York Rangers are in a precarious position, as they are missing Adam Fox, and K'Andre Miller in the lineup. Could the Chicago Blackhawks, and Seth Jones solve an issue for GM Chris Drury?

Seth Jones's name has been prominently featured in the media as of late, as the Blackhawks defenseman has informally requested a trade.
While it's not been official, he's been negotiating in the media sphere and has been unhappy with the team since the start of the season.
Now, this could be a turning point for the Rangers who are missing two key pieces in line up, with K'Andre Miller and Adam Fox missing.
He could wind-up being a replacement for the Rangers who have sent Zac Jones down the Hartford Wolfpack.
"Since Miller and Fox are expected to miss time," explains Rubenstein, "the best available defenseman Seth Jones in Chicago, who is an 'RHD' and a Top Four defender and would replace Fox.

"Columbus is looking to move Ivan Provorov who can play either side. He's a pending UFA but other teams want him."

The Rangers may have to pay a hefty sum for Jones, but we all know what he's capable of on the right side of the blue line.
He's capable of eating plenty of minutes every night for the Hawks and can play penalty kill and on the power-play.
While the Rangers may have to adjust their expectations for Jones, since he's out of his prime they'd still be getting a great defenseman.
The only issue that stands between Jones and the Rangers is his no-movement clause (NMC) and $9.5 million dollar contract.
Which, if GM Kyle Davidson wants to move him, he could consider retaining a third of his salary to make a deal happen.
He could get a decent return for Jones, in addition to removing $6 million from the Hawks' cap.
"He's a left-hander but comes with little offense to replace Miller," adds Jess. "On the other hand he's solid defensively; leaving Braden Schneider to look for more offense."

The Blueshirts get a top-four defenseman in New York who could help push them into the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Who knows, he could help mentor K'Andre Miller, and Urho Vaakanainen as well, seeing as he's done a bang-up job in Chicago with Alex Vlasic.
