New York Rangers call up the big guns for tonight's game

The New York Rangers will face the New Jersey Devils tonight, as the final of two back-to-back preseason games, happens tonight.
With
Jimmy Vesey and
Ryan Lindgren out of the lineup, Peter Laviolette will have to draw from Hartford and the prospects in the AHL to fill in the gap.
The Rangers have lost a serious contributor on the ice in Vesey who has become a defensive forward, and reliable penalty killer for the Rangers.
In 2023-2024, Vesey played 80 games for the New York Rangers, scoring 26 points( 13 G, 13 A), and had redefined himself and his identity in the NHL.
It has given players like
Adam Edstrom who has shown up in a big way during preseason play.
Thanks to players like Edstrom, the Rangers are 3-1 in exhibition play this year.
Also, today Head Coach Laviolette is calling in the big guns, as more veterans will appear on the ice tonight.
Artemi Panarin, Vinnie Troecheck, and Alexis Lafreniere will be on the ice tonight, as they will form the Rangers 1st line.
While the team has led a successful preseason, it seems Laviolette is ready to give the veterans, some more ice time before next week.
Can the Rangers beat the Utica Comets tonight?
FIRST GARDEN PARTY
The Rangers returned home to MSG last Tuesday where last season they were 30-11-0, tying the franchise record for the most home wins (1970-71), and came away with a dramatic 6-4 victory against the Islanders.
After trailing 3-0 after two periods, the Blueshirts responded with a six goal third frame. Chris Kreider and Zac Jones both recorded three points (2G-1A) while Adam Edstrom and Jacob Trouba each had two points.
In the win, both
