Gabe Perrault has NHL ties to the Chicago Blackhawks, as his father Yanic is the quote-unquote "face-off guru" in the Windy City.
So it's no surprise that his son would turn out to be such a great hockey player, and now he is one of three Boston College hockey players who have found their name in a hat for the award.
This season in 21 games with the Boston College Eagles, he's scored 28 points( 8 G, 20 A) with a +13.
He's producing at better than a point-per-game clip and is only in his second year in collegiate hockey.
March 10th is when we'll know who will truly win one of the greatest awards in Hockey.
Perreault was drafted 23rd overall in 2023 by GM Chris Drury and the New York Rangers. The team eagerly awaits the arrival of one of the best prospects.
No word on when he'll go professional, but for our sakes hopefully soon.
