An NHL executive has just proposed a trade that would involve New York Rangers veteran Chris Kreider, in exchange the Rangers would receive Boston Bruins star forward and captain Brad Marchand.
It's no secret that Chris Kreider has been involved in trade talks as Chris Drury made it public that him and Jacob Trouba were available for trades as the Rangers season continues to plummet.
The same goes for Brad Marchand, he has also been involved in several trade talks this season. However it's unlikely that the Bruins would accept a one-for-one trade for Marchand, as they would want younger prospects or even draft picks.
Brad Marchand is known as a game changer and a player who can perform well in the playoffs, as he has a Stanley Cup ring to prove that.
As for Kreider he has scored 50 goals in his career once during the 2021-22 season, and his next career high after that was 39 goals during the 2022-23 season. Just making this trade a bit lopsided.
Both players are great and hold a lot of value in their own ways but it will certainly take a lot more for the Rangers to acquire Brad Marchand.
Do you think Brad Marchand would be a good fit for the New York Rangers? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and update on the New York Rangers.
