The story of that game was that the Rangers did not start on time, and they were behind the 8 ball and behind in the score sheet for large portions of that game. This game could bode well for the Rangers as they have been jelling rather well over the last couple of weeks.
Panarin along with his recently signed teammate and linemate Alexis Lafrenière has had four goals in four assists through 9 games. The Rangers have also received excellent goaltending from Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick as Shesterkin holds a record of 4-2-1 with the goals against of 2.40 along with a save percentage of .922 which is currently 9th best in the NHL.
But this year's Ottawa Senators are not a pushover team as they had recently enjoyed drilling the St Louis Blues 8-1 at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. The Senators have several players to keep an eye on including Josh Norris, Drake Batherson, Tim Stutzle who currently holds the top offensive contributor at 14 points with five goals in nine assists while playing 19 minutes of ice time per game.
The Rangers will need to keep an eye on Senators captain Brady Tkachuk who has 11 points of six goals and five assists. But on the defensive side, the Rangers hold the advantage as Ottawa goaltender Anton Forsberg does not have a stellar record as he has surrendered 14 goals through five games and holding a record of 2-2-0 and a save percentage of .895 which is 33rd in the NHL.
With that stat line I believe the Rangers are favoured to win this game as the team will be hungry to extinguish their anger towards that Capitals game.
This game will take place on November 1st at Madison Square Garden at 7:00 PM eastern. You will be able to watch this game on ESPN+ with potential regional restrictions applying.
