The New York Rangers faced a tough 6-3 defeat during Tuesday nights game against the NHL's best team, the Winnipeg Jets.

Concern is starting to rise as the New York Rangers have been facing many issues defensively throughout their past few games, and those struggles don't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

During Tuesday nights game the Winnipeg Jets gained an early 1-0 lead, which ultimately set the tone for the remainder of the night.

However, the Rangers fought back and tried their best but with continuous turnovers and poor defensive effort it was no match for the Jets.

Following the game, Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette addressed the media and discussed how he felt about the game, along with the Rangers mistakes.

Here's what he had to say:

"It's one of those games where you're punching, trying to punch away at them and generate offense. Sometimes, you got to cover up and make sure that you're not coming back and beating the other way. Those incidents, they cost us tonight."

- Peter Laviolette

Unfortunately Mika Zibanejad is a player who committed a couple of costly turnovers that led to goals. If you watched the game then it was clear that Zibanejad was not playing his best, but Laviolette refused to blame the veteran:

«Peter Laviolette was asked if he thinks Mika Zibanejad is pressing right now:

"I can't speak for Mika and where he's at. You'd have to ask him. I know that we count on Mika, he's an impact player for us."

The New York Rangers play next on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks, so hopefully they can re-adjust their game a pull off a victory.
