It's been a long wait for the Rangers organization as they had hoped Alexis Lafreniere would take the next step in his career with a good stretch of games and increased confidence.
That appears to be the case as he is showing all kinds of confidence in his game and is becoming a clutch performer as the Rangers continue their winning streak to 10 games.
One of the main reasons for his improved play is being paired on the same line with Artemi Panarin.
During those stretch of 10 games Lafreniere has scored six goals which is exactly what the Rangers need as the team is looking for help on the top 6.
Over the past 58 games, he has scored seventeen goals with 19 assists for 36 points and has 24 penalty minutes.
For several weeks many felt the Rangers should move Lafreniere as he had a terrible start to his season.
Their patience has paid off and it appears that he has found his game and is beginning to climb in the stats sheet.
The Rangers are on a second game of their back-to-back on the road where they will be playing the Columbus Blue Jackets.
They will also begin a home and home with the Blue Jackets where the game will begin at 6:00 PM eastern on February 25th.
