Recent report reveals it is officially over for Matt Rempe
The New York Rangers are starting to get back to full strength as players are getting healthier.
With multiple players returning like Filip Chytil and Blake Wheeler for the Eastern Conference Finals, Matt Rempe is left being the odd man out in the lineup.
During the second round series against the Caroline Hurricanes , Rempe didn't see much ice being a healthy scratch for three games out of the six. Even throughout the three games he only averaged 6:18 minutes on ice time.
The 21-year-old made an appearance during the warmups of Eastern Conference finals game one, but as the game started Rempe was no where to be seen.
However, with there only being one spot available on the lineup the Rangers have seem to selected Chytil for that role. But after game one of the ECF Matt Rempe's grit and toughness was definitely missed, leaving it a possibility for a return for game 2.
Regardless of the outcome of his position in the playoffs, Matt Rempe has always held a positive attitude.
«Everything, what I've done my whole life, is outwork people and that's what I want to do,» Rempe said via the New York Post. «I know I got a long way to go. I've just been always playing catchup, per se, the last couple of years and here I want to exceed expectations every single day. I got a lot of work to do now.»
