Recent reports surfaced on Tuesday, stating that Lindgren returned to practice and was a full participant for the first time since sustaining an upper-body injury.
During the preseason, Lindgren suffered an upper-body injury after fighting New York Islanders defenseman, Scott Mayfield which ultimately left him sidelined for the remainder of the training camp and the first three games of the regular season.
However, since Lindgren returned to the ice he has been wearing a full face shield, indicating he suffered a facial injury, but no official confirmation has been made.
Rangers Head coach Peter Laviolette, states that it's a good sign that Lindgren has been cleared to practice with the team, but still won't provide a possible return date for the defenseman:
Victor Mancini has been filling in for Lindgren ever since the injury, and has been a very solid job, making it unclear what will happen once Lindgren does finally return to the lineup.
Just last season, the 26-year-old defenseman recorded three goals, 14 assists and 17 points in 76 games.
