Statement issued on Rangers star player absence from the team
As the New York Rangers hit the ice today for their practice a notable figure was not seen on the ice.
New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider did not join the team for today's morning practice, leaving many fans concerned on why he didn't show up, as they get ready for game six versus the Carolina Hurricanes. With the Rangers leading the series 3-2 they are looking to secure one final victory to move on to the Eastern Conference finals.
However sources have confirmed Chris Kreider did not show up to practice today due to maintenance'. This may be concerning as Kreider has been a crucial part of the Rangers playoffs success with an impressive 4 goals and 3 assists in just 9 games played.
«Chris Kreider (maintenance) is not at #NYR practice today»
«No Chris Kreider at today's practice. Team says maintenance #NYR»
With that being said Chris Kreider has not been opted out for Thursday nights game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
