Troubling news emerges from the New York Rangers morning skate in Greenburgh as key defenseman has been ruled out for tonight's upcoming match against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Back on Wednesday day the New York Rangers organization announced that defenseman
Urho Vaakanainen would not play against the Boston Bruins due to an illness, just about an hour before the game.
UPDATE: Urho Vaakanainen (illness) will not play tonight.
However, according to several reports Vaakanainen still isn't at his best and has officially been ruled out for Friday nights game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
At #NYR� morning skate in Greenburgh, where Urho Vaakanainen is still sick, the Rangers say, and won't play tonight.

As Vaakanainen was out on Wednesday, defenseman Zac Jones ended up slotting in the into the lineup for the first time since Dec. 23, and is expected to do so again tonight according to the Rangers lineups during their morning skate.
