The New York Rangers were benefactors of an obvious internal struggle in the Vancouver Canucks locker room. Now, that JT Miller is a Ranger again, the Canucks strife continues.

The Vancouver Canucks thought by getting rid of JT Miller they can rid themselves of an internal conflict in the locker room.
The feud between himself, and center Elias Pettersson made the waves across sports media everywhere.
Earlier in the year, Miller took a ten-game absence from the Canucks locker room, could the feud be one of the reasons to reclaim his peace of mind?
However, according to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, the conflicts continued upon his return.
"When Miller came back from his leave things just didn't get better in terms of the relationship and the stress and things like that," Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said.

"I think everybody hoped he would come back and things would change and they didn't. I think that was when the decision was made, that they were gonna move on."

It seems like, Miller may have been made the scapegoat for the team's struggles one way or another.
While this is unconfirmed, as an outsider looking in, you can see how he is on the ice for the Rangers, he's happy to be here and reunited with someone like Mika Zibanejad.
The Canucks leadership group seems to be absent as dissension in the ranks continues.
At what point do you rip away the "C" from him, once one player made it a point to escape a toxic situation?
All I can think of at this point is Patrik Laine's exit from the Winnipeg Jets. But at this point in the season the information we have on the Canucks is limited.
Limited to hearsay, and rumors that the media continues to spread unverified as locker room politics, are locker room politics.
Since putting on the Blueshirt once again, Miller has scored 4 points ( 2 G, 2 A) and hasn't been a locker room cancer.
He's made an impact on the team's first line.
Was Petey the cancer? Time will tell.
