The Rangers looked poised and looked dangerous against the Bruins as their first goal came from 12:30 in the first period with A5 on three power play goal by defenseman Luke Fox.
Their second goal was a beautiful pass to Rangers captain Jacob Trouba who launched a point shot towards their net and was deflected by Rangers Chris Kreider which had put the Rangers up 2-0.
It was a great site for Rangers fans as Rangers rookie Brennan Othmann managed to steal the puck from Bruins veteran defenseman Nikita Zadorov and took off on a beautiful break away and managed to score his first goal as a Ranger against Bruins rookie goaltender Brandon Bussi.
With the Bruins up 3-1 in the game, the team did not stop there as they worked in their own end and managed to get the puck out where Johnny Brodzinki managed to throw the puck at the net and put the Rangers up to a 4-1 comfortable lead.
The Bruins were trying to get back into the game and with little over 2 minutes left, they decided to pull their goaltender to try to get the quick goal which failed because Adam Edstrom chose to steal a goal from Jimmy BC and put it into the empty net to seal the game at 5-2.
Overall, it was a great game, and the Rangers looked ready and poised. The Rangers will now have a respite between games as their next game will take place on Monday September 30th against the New Jersey Devils.
The Rangers will also be on the road as this will be another home at home as the devils will meet the Rangers on October 1st back at MSG.
