Already one year ago today the hockey community and the NHL mourned the loss of hockey icon, Rick Jeanneret.
Rick Jeanneret was the legendary voice of the Buffalo Sabres and spent 51-years in the broadcasting industry and was the Hockey Hall of Fame's 2012 Foster Hewitt Award recipient.
Jeanneret did his first ever broadcast with the Buffalo Sabres in 1972 on a radio, and then joined the Sabres TV broadcast in 1995.
Today, August 17th, marks one year since Rick Jeanneret passed away, after multiple health issues he was diagnosed with the throat cancer in 2014, but the legend only missed a couple of games during the 2014-15 season.
Earlier today the Sabres released a post of him on their social media account stating they remember and celebrate him everyday.
