Maple Leafs Morgan Rielly still shaken up by Game 7 loss
Leafs Nation is still reeling than 48 hours after the Maple Leafs lost in game seven to the Boston Bruins. This appears to be the case for the players of the organization especially defenseman Morgan Reilly, who has seen his share of loss with his team. During the locker clean out day media availability, Rielly describes what goes through his mind in the final play in overtime.
There have been several playoff series that Riley has been part of in which the Leafs have been on the losing side of series. The Boston Bruins are one team that continues to haunt the Maple Leafs as they are unable to beat them in any game seven, they have faced them in the modern era.
With another first round exit, many questions loom around the Leafs organization as fans are taking to social media and expressing the desire to see full change across the entire board including their core four players as the Matthews era in its current construction needs to end.
As of Friday, new MLSE CEO and president Keith Pelley will join general manager Brad Treliving and current Leafs president of hockey operations Brendan Shanahan in a press conference that should shed much light on how the Leafs will move forward this summer.
