Somewhere, Gerard Gallant is smiling and nodding.
San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky stating he believes Goodrow is a great guy and player who is the guy for the role:
"I know he's played the middle in New York a little bit too. I can't really speak to what other teams did with him, but what I've seen, I think he's a guy that could play in that role," Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said.
Goodrow is returning to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers Thursday night at 7:00PM for the first time after spending three season with the Rangers.
During Goodrows time with the New York Rangers he playing in 241 regular season games he managed to tally 29 goals and 48 assists for a total of 77 points. Along with making a playoff run for the three years he was with the Rangers.
Unfortunately the relationship between the 31-year old forward and the Rangers was tarnished after he was waived by the organization during the offseason of 2024, and Goodrow wasn't afraid to make his frustration known.
However, he is now looking to make an impact with his new organization tomorrow night as Goodrow has two goals in 17 games this season and will likely be a key forechecker for Celebrini and Toffoli.
