Igor Shesterkin finally opens up and addresses the trade drama that is tearing the Rangers apart

New York Rangers superstar goaltender Igor Shesterkin has finally opened up about the trade drama and contract negotiations that are deeply affecting the team.
Over the last few weeks there has been a ton of talk about Igor Shesterkin's recent performances and his future with the New York Rangers organization.
However this doesn't seem to bother him too much, but maybe it should as In his last 18 games played this season he has an 8-9-1 record with a .908 save percentage and 3.05 goals against average.
Along with that The Rangers have lost six out of their past seven games with the team currently performing at their worst ever.
Shesterkin's contract negotiations still remain unknown at the this time, which has led to a lot of speculation and questions.
Here's what Shesterkin had to say about the rumours surrounding his name and his teammates:
«I don't read and I try to not hear about that,» Shesterkin said about all of the outside noise. «I just focus on my game, on my practice and on my family. That's it.»
Everyone seems to have the same response within the locker room, which is a good thing cause the last thing the team needs is to push the panic button and things get worse.
The 28-year old goaltender has acknowledged the team struggles and feels like everyone on the team can work through it:
«Sometimes it happens, it's sports,» Shesterkin said. «Sometimes you have bad days, sometimes you have good days. You just need to stay confident and just do what you do and work hard every day.»
Shesterkin then continued to state that he is a quite guy and usually finds his voice while out on the ice and not in the locker room. Definitely a guy who stays out of the controversy.
«I'm vocal in my mind,» Shesterkin said while laughing. «I don't like to talk too much sometimes. Sometimes it happens, but usually it happens on the ice, not in the locker room.»
The New York Rangers and Igor Shesterkin have gone through difficult times before, but now it's time to see if they overcome this challenge or let it tear the team apart.
